Η Μπιγιονσέ (Beyoncé) παρέλαβε το Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award και τραγούδησε αποσπάσματα από όλο το τελευταίο της άλμπουμ, με τον σύζθγό Τζέι Ζι (Jay Z) και την κόρη της Μπλου Άιβι (Blue Ivy) να τη χειροκροτούν από τις πρώτες θέσεις.
Η ίδια όταν έλαβε το βραβείο της δήλωσε “Δεν έχω λόγια, είμαι γεμάτη ευγνωμοσύνη και ευχαριστώ τον Θεό για αυτή τη στιγμή. Μπλου σ αγαπώ, αγάπη μου σ αγαπώ, θαυμαστές μου σας αγαπώ, MTV, σ’ αγαπώ.”
